Upgraded YEBIS Demo Debuts PC Level Visual Effects To
Android 4.3 Mobile Devices
Tokyo, Japan-March 14th 2014 – Silicon Studio, a high-end middleware provider and game developer, is pleased to announce that the YEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 Tech Demo, a high-end technical demonstration using OpenGL ES 3.0 was released on Google Play to showcase high quality special effects for mobile devices running Android 4.3. Utilizing the high-end post-processing effects of YEBIS 2, YEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 Tech Demowill debut at Silicon Studio’s booth at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2014, and will showcase how high-quality PC level visual effects can be achieved perfectly on Android 4.3 mobile devices.
TheYEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 Tech Demo– known often as “Rigid Gems 3.0”– is the upgraded demonstration of the YEBIS OpenGL ES 2.0 demo that was featured at the unveiling of Google’s Nexus 7 on July 2013. The Rigid Gems 3.0 is the first real-time graphics application that takes advantage of the Open GL ES 3.0 platform for Android 4.3 devices. The increased rendering power and precision of OpenGL ES 3.0 will enable PC quality visual effects to be delivered on mobile devices running Android 4.3 as demonstrated by the YEBIS “Rigid Gems” 3.0 tech demo.
