SILICON STUDIO ANNOUNCE YEBIS 2 AVAILABLE FOR Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION®4 SOFTWARE TITLE DEVELOPMENT

Tokyo, Japan – March 13th, 2013 – Silicon Studio, a middleware provider based in Japan, announced today that YEBIS 2 is available for PlayStation®4 entertainment system. YEBIS 2 is a real-time post-processing middleware that transforms current and next-gen development with physically-based optics simulation and high-quality, next-generation lens effects. YEBIS 2 is a foundational middleware solution for AAA next-gen gaming.

Silicon Studio is bringing YEBIS 2, as well as additional middleware solutions, to Western developers in a multinational outreach campaign. Silicon Studio’s software is efficient and powerful, having been utilized by Tecmo Koei, Square Enix, Idea Factory, From Software, and many more.

  • Multi-color customizable glare effects – YEBIS 2 offers a myriad of glare effects including the HDR effect, with full customization of each one.

  • Motion Blur - Applied independently on a scene, object or character, YEBIS 2 makes fast movements even more realistic.
  • Physically Accurate optical post-effects – YEBIS 2 offers different post-effects ranging from highly realistic to more dramatic effects.
  • Three selectable HDR rendering effects - All post-effects interface with the HDR rendering pipeline to select one of the three HDR types, based on performance, target platform and the graphics engine design.
  • Easy to install architecture that supports Direct X 11 - Direct installation of YEBIS 2 without any major revision of the graphics engine, and immediate connection.
  • Real-time color adjustment effects - Color adjustment of rendering effects in real-time: monotone, sepia tone, saturation and much more.
  • Proprietary algorithm balancing quality and performance - The scalability of the design ensures a balance between speed, high quality and performance.
