SILICON STUDIO BRINGS SUITE OF GAME DEVELOPMENT SOLUTIONS TO GDC 2013

YEBIS 2 and PARADOX Lead in Silicon Studio’s Breadth of Current and Next-Gen Development Tools

Tokyo, Japan – March 22, 2013 – Silicon Studio, a high end middleware provider, is proud to announce that they will be showcasing their development tools at this year’s Game Development Conference, from March 25-29. Located in the South Hall at booth #1042, developers and media will have the opportunity to be among the first to witness the latest in middleware development tools, notably YEBIS 2, a post-rendering lighting solution famously featured in Square-Enix’s next-gen technology demo, Agni’s Philosophy. In addition to YEBIS 2, Silicon Studio will show off their suite of middleware solutions for current and next-gen development, including:

  • YEBIS 2 - A nexus of real-time post processing effects; YEBIS 2 is the world's only middleware with physically based optics simulation. It provides various high-quality lens effects, designed for both current and next-gen development. YEBIS 2 is utilized in Square Enix’s Agni’s Philosophy tech demo, providing the foundation for their next-gen game development on the Playstation® 4. YEBIS 2 is a foundational middleware solution for AAA next-gen gaming.
  • PARADOX – A C# game engine and editor built on top of a versatile rendering system, gives developers the ability to focus on creating innovative games with a simple, yet powerful integrated solution. Advanced features such as shader composition, micro thread scripting and collaborative team editing makes it one step ahead of existing solutions.
  • BISHAMON – A robust video game VFX tool, BISHAMON allows artists to generate superior quality effects without being overly complicated. It’s easy to use with a clear UI, allowing game artists to apply explosion, dust, spark, and other particle effects, as well as additional shape and mapping effects.

Silicon Studio is bringing their software solutions to Western developers as part of their global outreach campaign. Media and developers who are interested in checking out the latest in middleware advancements for are invited to come to Booth #1042 in South Hall at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Silicon Studio is also bringing an exclusive arcade cabinet from Japan. Square-Enix’s Gunslinger Stratos arcade machine will be available to play for the first time ever in the North America, exclusively at booth #1042. The game was built using many of Silicon Studio’s tools, and both media and developers are invited to give it a shot and see the best of Silicon Studio in action.

Additionally, 100 lucky visitors to the Silicon Studio’s booth will granted an invitation to an exclusive mixer on March 27 at Press Club
